12-Dog Relocation from Colombia to New Hampshire

Over five years, we rescued dogs in terrible conditions across Colombia. Twelve became family, one by one, each with a unique history and personality; some carried effects of abuse, abandonment, or malnutrition. When we returned permanently to the United States, leaving anyone behind was never an option.
But bringing even one dog from Colombia is a tremendous undertaking—now imagine that multiplied by twelve! Moving one successfully did not make the remaining eleven automatic, especially while moving our entire lives. We needed a team that prioritized their well-being, not simply transportation.
We thoroughly vetted several companies. We would not entrust our twelve to uncertainty in what we feared might be traumatic. Then we spoke with Angela! She was transparent, straightforward, compassionate, and genuinely understood our situation, timeline and unusual group of dogs from our first conversation. She never minimized the complexity or made unrealistic promises. Her confidence put us at ease: we had found the right company—and we sure had!
The relocation required four shipments, three dogs at a time, grouped by personality, age, size, energy, and friendship so they traveled with companions who made them feel safe.

Jola calmly managed every document—especially for CDC intake—photo, question, request, and final date, including the micromanaging mind of a mom of twelve! Their communication platform and protocols were fantastic! Every question, document, update, decision, and shipment history remained streamlined in one place—not scattered through emails and messages. With twelve dogs, this was invaluable.
The airplane’s cargo hold was one of our greatest fears. They showed us that with preparation, proper crates, climate-controlled flights, experienced handlers, and coordinated care, dogs can travel safely. The crates arrived months ahead so ours recognized them as safe spaces. Today, they are their little houses—the refuges they choose for “me time.” How amazing is that?
