Thank you to World Pet Travel Services for taking care of our precious doggies (Sophie and Mo) and transporting them from JFK, NYC to Johannesburg South Africa. I am happy to report that they are healthy, and back to their old tricks again– which must mean they handled their travel experience very well!!!
I worked with John Passman and he was extremely professional and efficient in the manner in which he handled Sophie and Mo’s travel plans. I was especially worried about how my doggies would respond to being in their crates for the long flight. John took the time to answer all my questions before and after their flight to South Africa, and helped reassure me that Sophie and Mo would be fine. World Pet Travel Services enlists pet friendly airlines for the pet flights. This means that the pets will be handled with care and treated well; their water bowls topped up when needed and the pet handlers working with the pets are well trained – all very important information to consider when you are planning to fly your pets abroad!

Hi Angela!
Just a quick note to say “Thanks sooooo much” for all of your help getting Teddy to Dubai! I had already contacted an Importer on the Dubai end and thought that flying with Teddy from Indianapolis to Dubai was a no-brainer! So much for that! When I called you I simply wanted to pick your brain after we had been told that our seven pound Pomeranian could not be guaranteed to fly on United. So what did I learn from you? A. You don’t use United as the airline is not necessarily “pet friendly”, B. We couldn’t fly Teddy out of Indianapolis as all flights from there have layovers, C. We would have to take him to Chicago for a direct flight, and D. He was too little to fly direct from Chicago to Dubai!! WOW, we learned a lot! After talking with you it became clear that we, indeed, needed World Pet Travel’s help!
And help you did! Thanks to the handler in Chicago for making sure Teddy got on the correct flight! Thanks to the handler in Amsterdam who hydrated and walked Teddy and kept him overnight at the kennel. And then thanks to the same handler for making sure Teddy got on the flight from Amsterdam to Dubai! Whew — it certainly ended up entailing a lot more than what we ever imagined! Thanks for getting Teddy safely and soundly to his new home in Dubai!!

Dear John,
Five years ago I moved from USA to England along with my then 5 year old pussycat Meshed. The arrangements to ship my cat over to the UK were strenuous, complicated and horribly stressful. The UK has a very strict policy about bringing pets in from outside the European Union. Nonetheless, I managed to bring over my cat to the UK, but it was a process that cost me many tears.
Last year Meshed and I returned to the USA, only to decide to come back to the UK 9 months later. To my surprise, the UK pet agency had changed their policies and I was no longer allowed to arrange the shipment of my cat by myself, but I had to do it through a private shipper, which of course, increased the cost greatly.
After inquiring with different companies, I chose World Pet Travel and it has been one of the best decisions of my life! John Passman, one of their agents, was constantly in touch with me, replying promptly to my emails, making sure all the numerous papers were completed correctly and in time… he even talked to my veterinarian when she had doubts about how to complete the papers!
Meshed was picked up from my sister’s house in Florida and then taken the following day to the airport. Because Meshed was overly indulged by my mom, while I was waiting for her in the UK, she arrived to the airport in Florida and was not allowed to travel in her current cage as it was now too small for her fat bum! Luckily, the well prepared staff hired by World Pet Travel had a larger cage handy and Meshed could travel with no further delay. Meshed arrived the following day in a huge cage, with a very professionally laminated tag attached with her name, address and contact numbers in case of emergency.
I couldn’t have asked for a better service! The price was a lot more than I expected, but then again it is the UK’s regulations. World Pet Travel saved me a lot of tears and stress and I am deeply grateful that they helped reunite me with my little ball of happiness (as I call her).

Just wanted to give you a report on our dogs, Jae Sook and Argos.
They arrived safely to our place three hours after my children and I landed into Abu Dhabi. The service here was great to notify us that they had arrived at the airport and were going through customs and would be delivered afterward. They arrived in a van in their cages and were very happy ( a bit stressed) to see us. After probably much needed sleep and distressing both our dogs are well adjusted here, except for the heat, which will take a while.
Thanks you for all your help in moving them and handling all the hiccups along the way to make it a smooth travel for our dogs.

Shipping my “kids” was the hardest thing I’ve had to do in a LONG time and it went off without a hitch! To all it may concern:
This letter is a testimonial to the fantastic work done by Angela Passman and World Pet Travel. As possibly the world’s biggest dog lover, there is nothing I wouldn’t do for my dogs. Once I drove my dog almost two thousand miles across the country back and forth both ways so my mother could take care of him (rather than a kennel) while I was going to be out of the country for two months. (That’s almost 8,000 miles driven for the love of my Jake). Everyone thought I was crazy. I am also possibly the world’s biggest control freak, and so making the decision to move my dogs to Bogotá, Colombia after living here for two years without them was a HUGE one for me.
Through internet research, I found World Pet Travel and based on the testimonials already on the site, I got in touch with Angela. Primarily, I was going to just move one dog at a time, but that plan got tabled because I didn’t want to separate them, even just for a couple of months. I was immediately impressed by her knowledge of what is involved with transporting pets overseas. She assured me multiple times that everything would be okay, and the fact that she had been through the process personally during her own overseas move with her five dogs really helped.
Even though the first planned trip didn’t work out by no fault of World Pet Travel or Angela, she and I stayed in touch and when it came time for the big trip with both dogs, she was there every step of the way. Angela explained in various emails and phone calls exactly what I needed to do with regards to vet visits, paperwork, proper crates, etc. The week leading up to the trip we were on the phone at least once daily and once I accidentally woke her up at night and there was never a complaint – to the contrary, she was happy to help me through the process. I had a lot of other very important non-related things going on that week as well and so “stressed” is not even the right word to describe the place I was in – I don’t know what I would have done without Angela.
I recommend World Pet Travel without reservation to anyone planning an overseas move for their animals. For those of you who are like me who are totally neurotic about their pets, you can trust Angela. There are so many little details to take care of and you will be stressed out anyway, so having someone who you trust by your side the entire way who will hold your hand and take care of the details and tell you exactly what to do, step by step, is priceless.

Cross Country Move and Back

9 Pets-Costa Rica to Canada
We were living in Costa Rica and had a problem. Having almost an acre of land around our home, we had managed to adopt 4 dogs and 3 cats — plus we still had 2 of the 3 cats we had brought from Toronto, Canada! The problem was that, after 7 years, we decided to move from the mountains north-east of San José to St. John’s, Newfoundland to be near family and were unwilling to abandon our pets.
We thought it would be relatively straightforward to transport the pets to Canada; after all, we had brought 3 cats from Canada to Costa Rica. Needless to say, transporting 9 animals thousands of miles, across 3 time-zones to another country (speaking a different language) is not a job for the faint of heart.
We will always be grateful to World Pet Travel, who handled the entire logistics of the move. They:
- Visited the house to check the size of the animals (so the appropriate cages could be obtained)
- Arranged for a vet to visit our house to examine the animals
- Took the resulting health certificates to the appropriate government ministry in Costa Rica (all governments want to give their official seal of approval and charge you some money!)
- Delivered the travel cages, which they had obtained, a few days ahead of departure so our pets could get used to them
- Picked up the animals from our house the day before their flight, got them (plus their cages) weighed at the airport
- Housed the pets overnight before their flight
- Prepared their cages, water, bedding, etc., and got them safely on the plane
- Had someone in Toronto to receive them and shepherd them and their documentation through Agriculture Canada (more “government approval”!)
- Boarded them for several days in Toronto (giving us time to get from Costa Rica to our new home), including cleaning their cages and getting them ready for the next leg of their great adventure
- Put them on 3 separate flights to St. John’s (the Canadian airlines that fly into St. John’s have a limit on how many animals are allowed on any one flight)
- Received them in St. John’s and delivered them to our new home
Oh, did we mention that they reported to us about progress every step of our pets’ journey and then checked after the pets arrived to make sure they were alright and to advise us on feeding and watering after such a journey?
World Pet Travel co-ordinated everything and made all the necessary purchases and payments — they provided a trued “door to door” service — no wonder we are grateful and recommend their services!
